What is meant by going to school has changed throughout the generations. From brick school houses to schools with retro Apple computers students have moved away from piling up school books to using the internet to research, learn and succeed.

 

As the way students learn has changed, we as educators must adapt and support their learning needs. Today, there are many resources to support the growth and learning of teachers and students. Technology has become infused in how students communicate, function and learn and as educators we should embrace technology and utilize it to enhance learning opportunities.

 

When thinking of holistic education the goal is to provide students with various ways to learn and provide skills and experiences that will aid them in their future. Holistic educators seek to provide purpose and meaning from the content they teach that goes beyond curriculum expectations. By utilizing technology and mobile applications students can learn in ways that are geared towards their interests and learning capabilites.
